Who We Are
Our Mission: We, the People of Edinburg United Methodist Church, are called to be a HAVEN in times of STORM and a LIGHT in times of DARKNESS!
The United Methodist Church’s Mission: We, the People of The United Methodist Church, are called to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world!
Church History: This year, EUMC turns 155 years old! Our humble beginnings found us as a congregation worshipping at Gunn’s Chapel (the same building but in two different locations) for 38 years until, in 1900, the present building was built and dedicated on November 26th for about $8,000. In 1951, a basement was added for more classrooms and fellowship area. The stained glass windows of the church has been said to be one of our great physical assets. We are currently known as “the music church” in town. With 154 years behind us, we look forward to the future, seeking new opportunities to make disciples of Jesus Christ. We, the People of EUMC, still stand strong and continue to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our area!
